Rev. Bryan Ransom, Roberta and their children Lael 2, Isaac 7, and Natasha 5. It was twelve years ago or so, at Waterloo University, when a young man from Fitzroy Harbour, near Ottawa, met and fell in love wîth a sweet girl from Kitchener... ..a love made in Heaven one might say. Bryan Ransom and Roberta Youngs were married Jane 27, 1981. With a true love for tbe country, Bryan and Roberta seemed to be searching for a home with a church away from city life, shortly thereafter ... Through the Unitcd Church Observer Publication, the couple learned of a ministerial opening in Newtonville, which would include two otber churches, Shiloh and Kendal. Rev. Ransom applied, pursued and obtained tbe position of Minster bere, and it was indeed a special move for tbe young family, ini early July 1985. As Rev. Ransom enters his ninth year of Ministry, he and bis family will be leaving Newtonville at the end of the month. 'There are so man)y people we are going to miss . . ." explained Roberta," ... we have made rny wonderful friends, and will take with us so very many happy memories .."added Bryan, 'but it is time to move on... Rev. Ransom bas a new Cburch, Zion United in Mitcbell's Corners. Mrs. Ransom will be continuing in her teaching career, accepting a part-time position'at Newcastle Public School.
