"President's Club" Banquet. The Districts represented were fromn the Peterborugh area and regions from Courtice to Cobourg. "Avon ladies" who have achieved excellence in sales and service over the Avon eighteen- carnpaign year, and have reached or surpassed objectives set, are honoured and celebratedyearly as President's Club memrbers. Over one hundred years ago, "Mrs. Albee" started the California Perfume Compny... and Avon was born. 1Today, lîmited issues of Mrs. Albee porcelain figurines and commemnorative plates are cast annually, and presented to outstanding Avon representatives across the country. Lycett of R.R. 2 Port Hope who Queen of the Fair Kelly Hientig, was chosen last week as Miss Durham Central and will hold the title for the coming year. Kelly was sponsored in the event by Stutt's Pharmacy of Orono. Pictured with Kelly is Jili Brown of Newcastle and was chosen runner- up in the contest. I was sponsored by the Motor City car Club. Congratulations are extended to Kelly and Jil and to the other girls who all were a credit to themselves in the annual event.
