Faii meetings Planned Clarke High School presented its 29th Annual Commencement, Friday evening, October 19, 1991, to the extreme delight and pride of every single guest in the filled-to- capacity school gymnasium. Accompanied by the dynamic Clarke High School Jazz Band, directed by Mr. Dan Kapp, the Class of 90-91 marched up the centre aisle to assume their ceremoniai place in the room. Mfter the singing of our National Anthem and the warmnest of welcomes from dignitaries, the festivities began. There were ninety-four awards presented titis evenmng. to mhe many outstanding students, Clarke High School continuously graduates. Among these outstanding young people, were five Ontario Scholars. (1-r) Jeff Walters, Ken Verwoert, Brian Mereweather, Cindy Tamblyn and Andy Rorabeck. <An Interfaith Event will bethie focus of the Oshawa Presbyterial U.C.W. FalI Regional Meetings to be held on October 29 and 30, 1991. Rev. Arch McCurdy will be the program facilitator and he will be bringing with him a representative of the Jewish faimh and Islamic faith. Rev. Andy Rorabeck gave a moving Valedictorian Address. Eighty-six Clarke High School Graduates would receive their, Diploma. Af ter ahl awards and presentations were made, Principal Hugh Hubbs took to the podium to deliver his closîng remarks. His message was from the heart, directed personally to each and every graduate present .. . "Believe in your goals, believe in your dreams, and always, always believe in yourself.'" This three session workshop for parents with childreni up to 12 years will aim to help parents help mhemselves and mheir children cope with separation or divorce. Common children's post-separation or post-divorce problems will be discussed, and parenting strategies will be suggested to hielp children deal wimh separation. The group will mecet Monday, November 4, 11, 18, 1991 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Durham House Child and Family Centre, Oshawa. The cost is $24.00 per person.
