Melissa Colville received a Bronze medal in her fliglit for Pre- Novice Competitive at the Cobourg Skate Competition. Separate School Board plan Port Hope High School A committee of the Peter- borough Victoria Northumberland Newcastle Separate School Board of Education lias set a high priority, a new high school for the Port Hope-Cobourg area. The proposai now needs the sanction of the Board. The new higli school, would be built in Cobourg to house 600 students and would replace the use of the present St. Marys School in Cobourg as a high school. The St. Mary's school would be reverted to an elementary school. The Cobourg school bumps a new high school for the Bowmanville area to second place. It lias been pointed out that student growth in the Northumberland area is greater than that in the Bowmanville area. The St. Marys Higli School had 14 students in 1983 aind is currently at 355. The school may flot be built until 1995.
