Carol Mostert took top honours at the Christmas show, with the most points and was awarded the "Best In Show" prize. Durham Christian High Sehool opens new dept. Durham Christian High School (D.C.H.S.) is pleased to announce the creation of their Resource Department and Comrnunity Relations Department. This new department will be directed by Mr. Dennis R. Ullman. The main focus of the Resource Department and Community Relations Departîment will be t0 promote the school and it's activities 10 the surrounding communities and to raise funds on behalf of the school. Students who attend D.C.H.S. corne frorn various christian faiths and they receive a quality christian high school education in a positive environment. Mr. Uliman has worked with the Ontaro March of Dimes, Y.M.C.A. of Hamilton/Burlington and many other charitable organizations throughout South Central Ontario. There are a number of changes at the Board since I last served. Some of the changes are the resuit of Provincial of Federal legisiation. Some are initiatives of the Board. Cettainly costs have risen drarnatically during the past îhree years as a result of many factors, including changes in enrolîment. 1Il is going lo be a difficuit three years. in particular, I do not see a rapid change in our economy. During the election il was very apparent that taxpayers are concerned about the cost of all, governrnent progra ms. 1 can't do a lot about the Provincial, Federal or municipal costs, but I can do my part to control Board expenditures.- I should tell you that any opinions or views expressed in this column art mine and are not your possibilities are in "Understanding Investrnent - An Introduction".
