Each day, at the start of the proceedings in the Legisiature, tbe Speaker shares a prayer with al memnbers. The prayer is as follows:' "Give to each member of this legisiature a strong and abiding sense of the great responsibilities laid upon us. Guide us here in our deliberations. Give us a deep and understanding of the needs of the people we serve. Heîp us to use power wisely and well. Inspire us to decîsions which estab1isfi and maintain a land of prosperity and righteousness where freedom prevails and where justice ruiles." Since my election to the Ontario Legisiature, and when my duties permit, I have made it a point to be present during the daily saying of this prayer. I feel that it sets the tone of the day, and offers encouragement, as I go about representing the people who elected me to serve them.
