Larry Houston led off the gaine with a single to left and after Daryl Houston reached first base via an error, Sean Muller singled to drive in Larry for the first run of the gaine and the first run of the season. The next batter, Chris Cholette, then rapped a hard double to ieft to score both Daryl and Sean and put Orono up by three runs. After a Mike Landers walk and a Jeff Pearce double, Tom Tamblyn also cbipped in witb a double to drive home two more runs. Orono sent 10 men to the plate in tbe first innîng emerging with a 6 run lead. Tbe local squad scored two more runs in the second when Sean Muller singled home Chris Yeo and -Sean' scored on a passed bail. Mike Landers was outstanding on the mound as he held Cobourg thernselves trailing Kingston 3-0 after 5 innings. Another newcomner to this year's team, Derek Anderson started on the mound for Orono and pitched 5 very fine innings. Derek allowed 6 hits while walking 6 and recording 2 strikeouts. Jeff Pearce camne on in relief to record the win by pitching two hit balîs over the final two inninigs. .Larry Houston led the Orono attack with two hits while single hits went to Chris Yeo, Daryl Houston (triple), Chris ChoÏette (double), Cbad Maartense and Jeff Darracb (home run). She said that Regional counilors felt, in Most cases, that the announcement of 20 sites was going to upset a lot of people for the three month period and that the announcement of the three possible sites could have just as well be announced with much less disruption in the Region.
