Councl Briefs John Rinn of Bingo Country, Brampton, addressed cou ncil on Monday seeking a letter of support for the operation of a bingo hall in the Town of Bowmanville. He said bis company operated 42 halls in Ontario. He also stated that it would bring in excess of $50,000 to the community for local groups. and would bire 16 to 20 people. A staff report noted that the Town had 505 lots fully serviced in Courtice witb a furtber draft approved numbering 505. A furtber 1894 lots are heing sougbt wbich conform to the official plan. The Police Services Board bas set a budget of $52.9 million for the police wbicb amounts to an increase of 5.6 percent well above regional counicil mark for an increase.
