Would support environmental study of nuclear waste storage The resuits of a recent survey in Port Hope taken at a recent Home Show indicate that Port Hope residents are, in the majority, prepared te support environmental studies related te the keepîng of low level nuclear waste withm ic heTown. The issue of Port Hope becoming a host community for its own waste has been knockcing around fer a number of monUis and some even vîew that Hope Township could be considering the same prospect. Twenty-eiglit percent said they would not consider accepting nuclear waste from other centres.
