The President Shelley Etmansk ie welcomed everyone to the meeting with a poemn and O'Canada was sung with Doreen Lowery at the piano. Announcemnents and thank you cards were read followed by the secretary's report and the treasury report. Our well familiar guest speaker Carol Mostert, was introduced by Shelley. Carol's topic was "Preserving Plant Material with Glycerin." Carol had a beautiful table of wild flowers which she had preserved. You should pick the flowers on a very hot day when they are fully developed at their peek in the middle of the afternoon. The solution you use is 1 part glycerin to 2 parts almost boiing water and thoroughly mixed up. For flowers and grasses have 3" of solution at least. Doreen Lowery was called on to give the show report and present the prizes. There were fourteen exhibitors and one hundred and ten entries. Donna Sutherland was the judge for the show.
