Another solid effort was displayed by Orono's dofenceman Greg Bester wbo now leads bis team in the plus/minus department witb a +21! MacGregor's wore the Orono blue and white sweaters which proved to be, bad luck for the Orono teamn. Orono was up against a rock in the MacGregor goaltender as ho stopped shot after shot by the Aggies. Orono's Matt Mitchell assisted by # 4 Brad Gniffin got # 2 Ryan Fowler the first goal of the game after several breakaway attempts by himself and Ryan Fowler. Most of the action in the first period was in the MacGregor end with Kyle Cox and. Brian P isani taking shots at the camper in the turn tent. -MacGregor's first goal chance was spoiled by fast skating by Christopher Campbell as ho checked the puck carrier at the last minute. MacGregor's was flot to be kept off th e board as they scored at Grog Shetier (2); Bob Witberidge, Matt McGlynn and Jamie Parry. Shots on Goal: Farnily Auto 20, FHarnes 16. On Novembor 9th Pine Ridge visited Newcastle and lost 6-3 to their arcb rivals. Scoring for Orono were Jonathan Scholl from Andrew Beacock, Andrew Beacock, unassisted; Dan Tresise from Andrew Boacock and Jonathan Scholl. On November lOtb Carnation Florists visited Orono and defeated the home town boys by a close 2-1 score. Sconing the lone Pine Ridge Pi*sani* gets hat trick Orono Novice hockey bcague were once again on the ice at Bowmanville in an away gaine vs. M&M Meats on November 3th. Orono was gunning for a win after a loss and a tie and they did flot disappoint their coaches or fans. M&M opened the scoring in the first period at 11:03 but Orono's # 4 Jesse Price retumed the favour by putting one past their goalie at 7:33 witb an assist by # 12 J.P. Pisani. The second period opened witb a 1-1 tie but that did flot last long as Orono broke the gamne -,ide open. # 4 Jesse Price netted bis second of the gaine at 13:06 on a pass from J.P. Pisani. At 5:21 of the second J.P. Pisani on a pass fýom Jesse Price got bis first goal of the gaine. Orono dominated the play and # 1 Jeff Slemon played a fine gaine between the pipes. One minute later at 4:28 J.P. Pisani put, in # 2 unassisted on a rush from end te end, making the score 4-1. The third period saw stellar defenco from # 6 Kienan Williams and # 15 Tyler Gregg, # 5 Aaron Robinson and # 2 Shawn Dejohn, holding M&M scoreless. Orono's scoring continued witb the bat trick goal by J.P. Pisani at 10: 15, this time assisted by # 2 Shawn Dejohn. Orono finished the scoring frenzy witb a beautiful goal by # 7 Brian Chartrand on a pass from # 16 Jeff Mercier. Congratulations to Brian on bis first goal of the season. The weekend of Novomber l3th and l4th Orono was in Ops for an Atom bouse beague tournament. In game one Pine, Ridge tied Maripos'a # 2 by a 1-1 score. Andrew Beacock scored th-~ lone Orono goal, unassisted. game two Pine Ridge was matcheo- with Omemee and'scored a 3-0 shutout, thanks to goaltender Nicky Lucyk. Orono point gettors in this one wore Donald Allin (bis career first) from Jake ]Bonnetta; Ju stin Standeven from Corey Tufts; Miko Garlick from Scott Wood and Chris Bouley. This play was good enough to put Orono into the "A" Cbampionsbip against Mariposa # 1. Hero our boys foîl to defeat by a heart breaking 4-3 score. Scoring, were Coroy Tufts from Justin Standoven, Andrew Beacock from Corey Tufts; Andrew Beacock from Matt Gregg. Back to league, play' on November 17tb tbe Kinsmen were in Orono and defeated our boys by another close 3-2 score. Scoring for Pine* Ridge were Androw Beacock from Jonathan School and Chris Bouley; Justin Standeven from Matt Gregg and -Matt Reid., Pine Ridge got back on a winning track wben tbey bosted Pizza Pizza Novomber 24tb and skated to a 5-2 victory.
