A successful evening The Orono Oddfellows and Rebelcabs held a most successful Pot Luck Supper on Monday evenmng ini their hall with close to seventy present. Following the supper it was Euchre for ail. Proceeds fom the event will be used for maintenance of the hall. Second best to the trip to Georgia 1The Orono Fish and Hunt Club recently hosted an outing for 13 Scouts fr 'om Pontypool. The Scouts accompanied by Scout Leader Dave Davis and three other father/leaders enjoyed the day with instructions on fire-arms safety and target shooting. lhe Range Master Peter Etmanski and other directors of the Club closely supervised the day and even provided lunch for the visitors. A quota by one Scout, "This is the second best thing next to may trip to Georgia". The Orono Fish and Hunt Club would like to encourage other Cub and Scout groups to join with them at their quarters in the country._ World Day of Prayer The year the World Day of Prayer will bc held Friday, March,4th at 7:00 p.m. In Orono it will be held at St. Saviour's Anglican Church, in Newcaslte ià wil bc held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Cut each into quar- ters. Makes 4 servings. VEGETABLE PITA IPOCKETS 1/2 cup (125 mL) Heffmann's Real, Light or Light Cholesterol Free Mayonnaise, 2 tbsp (25 mL) prepared mustard 4 regular sized pitas, halved 8 slices Cheddar or Swiss cheese 1 small cucumber, peeled, and sliced i large tomato, sliced i cup (250 mL) shredded carrots 1 medium red pepper, cut into strips i cup (250 mL) alfalfa sprouts in small bowl combine mayon- naise and prepared mustard. Spread each pita haif with mayon- naise mixture. Fill with one sice cheese and cucumber. toma to, car- rots. red pepper and sprouts. Drizzle with remaining dressing. Makes 4 servings.
