Doug Garlick, (#5) scored on a breakaway from Garctt Wood' (#12) and Justin Caruana (#4) at 9:44. Later in the second, Carl Tordiff (#10), netminder for J&M, made a spectacular diving poke check reminiscent of the Great China Wall wo stop a good scoring chance. J&M played a sound defensive gaine, as usual, but ccrtainly would have had more goals but for the very good goaltending by Skylight's netminder. Final score: J&M Custom 2; Skylight Donuts 0. Then, last Friday night, Marcb 1llth, J&M Custom hostcd Shoppers Drug Mart in Orono. At 12:55 of tUic first period, Justin Caruana (#4) scored on an acutely sharp angle. Deadlocked game for Major Plumbing Novice The Orono OMHA Major Plumbing Novice hosted Port Perry on Friday evcning in exhibition play. Port Pcrry were flrst off thc mark scoring twicc ini the opcning period te take control of the gaine at that stage. Orono came alive early in the second pcriod when Lee Allin and Kevin Martin combined on a dtre way passing play to set up Jesse Gimblett for their flrst goal of thc gaine. Port Perry regained thc two goal lead for a short dîme but once again Jesse Gimblett narrowed thec gap whcn be completed the play from Bryan Bickell and Nathan Adegeest. Orono tied the game late in the second when Collin Cureatz took a pass from Kevin Martin and broke up the left side wo score on a low shot wo the corner. Orono's persistence paid off carly in the third period when Jamie Rowe gave Orono Uic lead for the first time in the game when be slappcd home a rcbound of a shot by Jesse Gimblett and also assisted by D.J. Boardrnan. The strong Port Perry tcam came back to tic the game moments later and despite several chances at both ends Uic gamne remained deadlocked at four when the final buzzcr sounded. The Aggics werc advised prior to the game that Durham had a shooter, John Lammers. The advice seemed to bc lost as Durham's Lammers opened the scoring with an unassisted breakaway goal that Uic Aggies' Ian Crashley could not stop. Orono's Andy Bangay knotted Uic match mid period as bis ccntring pass pinbalicd about the Durham goalies feet before crossing Uic lime. Brad Griffin put the Aggics into Uic lead when bis point shot eluded the Durham netmindcr, who appeared secencd on the shot, Pisani and Richter assisted. Caught carrying Uic puck out of their end the Aggies defence turncd the puck over and Durham's "shooter" put another goal away prior to the period closing to even Uic match. The Aggies regained Uic lcad carly in Uic third. Kevin Martin slid a shot from ic high slot past Uic opposing goalie. Chris Moffat and the pinching defenceman Colin Maitland assisted. Shortly after Steve Gregg put Uic Aggies ahead by two as he mirrored Uic Martin goal trickling a shot past thc netmindcr. This time Matt Mitchell kept thc opposition from exiting their zone to gain the assist. Dufferin shutout TimsRentaI 4-O The Dufferin Aggregates play Aggies travclled to Bowmanvile, arena on the evening of Satumlay, March 12th for their second game of their round robin play. The Aggie s carcd fthc victory by way of a balanccd attack, strong defence and the solid netMinding of Kcvmn Martin. The netminding of Justin Andrews of the opposinig Tim's Rentai kept the score respectable with his numerous fine saves. The Aggies jof late bave shown a balanccd scoring attack and this game illustrated that point. Each lune accounted for at least one goal. Goal scorers on the evening were Fowler, Cox, Richter and Dunhain. Aiding the goal scorers with assists were Gregg, Pisani, Aluin, Moffat, Cox and Griffin, Who collected th=e for the high point gatherer of the game. Aggies go 3-0 in post season The Dufferin Aggies hosted the Deighton Associates Sunday morning at 7 a.m. at the Newcastle arena. Dufferin in the past bas had problcms with Dcighton. That fact and the Saturday night game had'the coaches apprehensive as to the outcomc. But the boys put those fear wo rest early and often as the Aggies showed up in force and baxnmered the Deighton teain 9-1. 'This proved to bc the most cxciting match of thc series, as witnessed by Uic near capacity crowd.
