"Match & Win" at Ski Club great success for SAGA11 Last weekcnd, SAGA's fourth annual Match & Win Event at the Oshawa Ski Club was declared a huge success by ail who participatcd. Nearly 200 entrants skied the slopes over the two days, winning dozerîs of différent prizes by trying to match their own trne ini two successive runs. There were six different cateories for participants - Boys and Girls PeeWees, Juniors and Adults, with 18 different prizes given out each day. The weather contributed to Uic success with glorious sunishine both days, and on Saturday, Radio Station CHEX from Peterborough added to the- fun with lots of shenanigans out on the hiIl. Added to this, CHEX generously donated 18 "COKE" transistor radios as well as oUier prizes, and a pair of 150 cm skiis which were raffled off on Saturday. Public Utilities merge An agreement was signcd in mÙid March in which Uic Public Utilities of Cobourg and Coîborne have been merged. The head of the Coîborne utilities bas said that the merger is a big savungs for user of water and electricity in Coîborne. Natives would stop land transfers The Alderville First Nation intends te endeavour te step any transfer of lands from the Ganaraska Conservation Author- ity to cither Port Hope or Cobourg.
