There was a good attenclance of members froin both Orono and Girafton area which is now served by the Co-operatve. The financial statement recorded an increase in sales froin $4.369 million in 1992 to $6.235 million in 1993. The cost of sales increased in 1993 rcprcsenting 86.6 percent of sale compared to 84.8 percent in 1992. With incrcased opcrating expenses in 1993, due to a transitional period in Uic purchase of Grafton Co-op, a significant change in senior management, consultant fées and other non- recurring costs associatcd with computerization sbowed a loss on operation of $150,756. This young- skatcr leaves Uic Skating Club Uiis ycar with some, mixed feelings at Uis time. She will leave Clarke H-igh Scbool to attend University and hopefufly, she says "Trent University". Adamn and Katie Colvillc, 14 and 1 1 are also making their mark with their competitive spirit and as well members of the Orono Figure Skating Club. Like their sister Uic two take part in ail competitions in Uic area and at Uic Provincial lcvel. Last ycar Uiis skating pair placed second in Uic AIl Ontario compétition and recently earned silver in sectional competitions at Trenton. They expect to compete in the Ontario Cbampionships in 1995 wben Uicy become of age lu do so.
