The Fun Fair was held to raise funds for the new playground equipment needed by Orono Public School after the old one was deemed unsafe for use. The night was a great success in every way. The weather was not too co- operative but that is not a worry this year as ail events and features of the Fair will be inside the school. AIl of the most popular things of last year will be back this year. You can test your basebaîl throwing speed with a radar gun or try your hockey shootout skills. For the younger children, there will be fish ponds, musical chairs, face painting, ring toss, buried treasure and lots more. There will also be a bake sale, 'a cake auction, and an auction of great merchandise and services from local merchants and residents. Try your luck at the draw tables or bingo, you might win a prize! There are some surprises ini store for everyone at the fair this year, but you'll just have to join us to see these. You won't have to worry about dinner either, we have that taken care of too. The Orono Firefighters have generously volunteered to man the BBQ's cooking delicious hot dogs and hamburgers which you can enjoy inside the school in our "lrestaurant". For your sweet tooth, there's the bake sale loaded with cakes, pies, cupcakes and more. The purpose of ail this is to provîde a night of fun for not only the students and staff of Orono Public School, but also the residentsof our area. It's a great opportunity to come out and sec what's happening in the school, have a great time, and meet your friends and neighbours too.
