Merv"n Russell gave the caîl to worship, welcomed everyone, and the announicements. Then we had presentaions of Bibles, pins, seals and diplomas given out te the childien as follows from Mis. Then Gail Empey caled on parents with infants up wo 3 year old for Infant Recognition - then Rev. Russell gave them a liffle book. Noreen Nixon introduced Mis. Beaulah Buchwald, where we welcomed her back with her puppets-magic-music and story telling, which was enjoyed very much. .After church we went wo the park for ourpot luck picnic. Around 75 people. attended with lots of fellowship-food-and games. OUR GREETERS: Pam & Gord On Monday evening, June 6 a, group of antiquers met at Arch McLaren's faimn to discuss old faimn machinery and eat muffins and do-nuts and drink Peg's good coffee. The discussion resolved at least 17 tractors would go to Millbrook Fair on Sunday the 12 of June. Entries to Kellogs Show, Peterborough Fair and Port Hope Fair were discussed. The finer details of the Orono Fair Show called "Heritage Farrm Show- were discusssed and'every body is eager to participate. The show looks like it wifl ho larger and houter than last year with new and varied entries and an expanded engine show. This group meets usually every month and if anyone is Werry. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be held at Newcastle United Church, July 25-29 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 .m. Classes will be provided for children 4 - 12 years. Contact person is Lois McLeod 983-5590.
