rOrono girl wins Ambassador to the Fair Crown Clarington stamps approval to Orono project The reconstruction of Station Street and Princess Street along with the construction of Leigh Street in Orono has received approval from council members. The project which has been in the five year Public Works Capital Works program was brought forward to this year due to the availability of funds through the federal/provincial infrastructure prograru. The project received provincial and federal approval in Mid August. At the trne the two senior levels of government and nutnicipality sanctioned the' project with each party sharing one-third of the total estimated cost of $870,000. The general purpose comrnittee aI their Tuesday evening meeting gave approval that the additional funds needed for the project, $250,000 be allotted on an interim basis fromn the Public Works Lot Levy Reserve Fund.
