Born in Manvers Town-ship and educated at Oak School, she was the daughter of William Curtis and Emily Beaman. On June 20, 1931 she married William Spence Gordon. A resident of Orono for 23 years she had previously resided at the 6th Concession Clarke Township. She was an adberent of Kendal and Orono United Churches, a member of Heather Rebekah Lodge # 334 Orono, Leskard U.C.W. and Orono Senior Citizen's Club. Surviving are hier family Inez Bougben, Newtonville; June Munford McCord, Saskatchewan; John and Don Gordon and Ruthi Yeo, of Orono; 14 granidchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.'
