Early in tbe lst period Ryan Campney (#35) opened the scoring witb his first goal-of the season from Evan Moore (#9) and Mark Kelly (#8). Shortly after, Chris Boyce (#4) scored twice, the first unassisted, the second on a pass from Garrett MacDonald (#10). At tbe midpoint of the_ period, Mark Kelly (#8) scored on a pass from Chris Buttonshaw (#16) ta give Dufferin a 4-0 lead. Evan Moore (#9) scored bis second of the night before the period was out from Chris boyce (#4) and Ryan Cainpney (#35) to end the lst period witb Dufferin leading 5-0. Early in the second, Chris Boyce (#4) scored again, earning a bat trick, as Dufferin kept the pressure on Tim's Rent-AlI net. Mark Kelly (#8) scored two during this stauza also earning tie bat trick, the first assisted by Justin Caruana (#5) and the second on a break-away, unassisted. Witb 20 seconds remaining in the period, Evan Moore (#9) scored from Cbris Boyce (44) ta give Dufferin Aggregate a 9-zip lead. As the third opened, Brent Vanstone (#I1) in net had ta make two difficult stops as TËim's tried to rally their. blue limes. Witbi four minutes left in the game, Kyle- Johnston (#*14) made an outstanding defensive play in bustling back ta întercept a Tim's breakaway. With a minute remaining, Mark Kelly (#*8) scored ane more ta complete the scoring and close the game witb a 10-0 victory. Vanstone earned bis second shut-out of the season. Providing the 'quote-of-the- game', Ryan Campney (#35), witb modesty and confident expectation, stated of bis first goal of the season: "I got my first goal tonigbt, and 'm gonna get 18 more!" Wîth this kind of confidence, Dufferin Aggregate is certain ta enjoy an auspiciaus season. The following day, a warm and dismal Saturday afternoon, Dufferin Aggregate played Durham TV & Antenna in another one-sided affair. Durham TV opened the game with some gaod offensive pressure but Dufferin turned the tables scoring the first goal at 12:20. Initially on a break-away, Doug Garlick (# 11) picked up bis own rebound and slid it bebind Durbam TV's netminder after Garrett MacDonald (#10) had fed him with a clear pass. Sbortly after, Durham TV's goalie came out and challenged Evan Moore (#9), stopping him on a break- away, sometbing he continued ta do to Dufferin's sho oters tbrougbout the afternoon. At 9:12, Moore (#9), scored from Ryan Campney (#35) closing the period witb a 2-0 lead. The second period was c haracterized by Durham TV's goalie's efforts in blanking shat- after-sbat from Dufferin Aggregate. Towards the end of the period, Doug Garlick (# 11) scored on a perfect pass from Kyle Jobnston (#14) who had won a foot-race down the rigbt side before feeding the pass over ta Garlick, closing the 2nd period witb Dufferin-- 3; Durham TV - 0. Early in the 3rd, Chris Boyce (#4) scored on bis own rebou nd after be had picked up a pass fromn Doug Garlick (#11).,At 11:21, Evan Moore (#9) stick- bandled around the goalie and back-banded il in for an unassisted marker. With 6-1/2 minutes remaining in the game, Brent Vanstone (#1) gave one of Durhamn TV's shooters a big hale on the long side, and then made it appear routine when he closed tbe door at the last second. While Vanstone and bis teammates played well in posting a 5-0 victory, tbere was Hatle doubt that the first star of the game was Durbam TV's goalie! FamiIy Auto Leats stîli winless on the road In OMHA Pee Wee play the Orono Leafs went on the road last week seeking their first league win of the season. First stop was Millbrook Thursday, November 3 as they tangled witb tbe Stars. The Leafs produced two strong periods of hockey as tbey beld a 3-1 scoring edge while being .rowly outshot 17 ta 16. However, the combination of an extra five minutes of game time and Millbrook's physical edge- in size proved ta mucb for Orono as the visitors were outsbot, 16 ta 4 and outscored 3-0 in the final frame. Final score was Millbrook Stars 4, Orono Family Auto Leafs 3. Leafs next stop was at Ops Arena Sunday nigbt November 6 ta lay the Flames. Bath clubs came out hitting bard and fast in the first period resulting in scoreless hockey witb just a 5-2 sbot deficit favouring the laines. Orono jumped into a sbort-lived 1-0 lead early in the middle frame. The Flames responded, quickly bowever as tbey scored no less than three st raigbt goals in 68 seconds commencing at the 6:23 mark Leaf netminder Dusty Stapleton had played brilliantly to tbat point and clearly was tbe victim of circumstance on two of the markers as they bounded in off player's skates. Backup goaltender Ryan Leddy took over from there as bath teams exchanged goals posting a 4-2 score for tbe hast club after two periods. The Rlames were up 5-2 midway tbrougb the final frame when Family Auto mounted a comeback on two power play goals witb just over four minutes to play. Ops put the gaine out of reach however as they scored their sixi.h and final tally i a wild goalmouth seramble at the 3:28 mark. Final score Flames 6, Leafs 4.
