'-Cover Story: With this being my last column of 1994, 1 think that this would bc a good time to dwell on some of Clarke's major happenings for December. December 16 concluded the auditions for the talent assembly. Most acts in which auditioned wül bc in Thursday's assembly. Some acts already peniled i will be a piano solo by Lisa Johnson, a stand-up act by OAC student, Alex Larnore and many bands are participating in the assembly as well. I too, wil take part in this years assembly, a solo and a duet with Grade 12 student, Erin Laking. Two classes are taking part i the assembly. Clarke's talent assembly will take place Thursday afternoon. A couple of classes wil belp set the show up in the morning, followed by a rehearsal. Flashback: I remember Clarkes Christimas dinner. Though I foget ... who ended up eating thie îurkey? Critic's Corner: There are a lot of actas this years talent assembly, let's hope its a good one. - John Kwaschen Genedic Complaint: Finallyl Clarke is focusing more on other sports other than volleyball. Way to go Clarke Raiders! - Derek Barton. Wiseman's Choice:- Last week Clarke students travelled to Newcastle Arena and watched them win the hockey championship 3-2 against Port Hope. The school spirit that showed at this game gave amazing results. A good suggestion would kc to continue letting Clarke secitfs, own team play in games . The support would help the team and the sprt would help the school. I Other News: As a resuit of bad weather conditions, the <ance on December 9 was cancelled. The dance has been rescheduled for January 13, 1995. Here is the icing on <tie cake. The<ance will bc a Much Music dance. But the challenge is student council must seli 200 tickets by Thursday. Yearbooks at Clarke have arrived, the last instalment must be made ini order to pick up your book A reminder that next year's yearbook is currently on sale. Student's View will return next year. I the Future: Friday will bc the first day of Christmas vacation. Classes resume January 8. On January 12, ce-op students will be displaying their projects at the Career Fair. The Fair runs from 9:30 - 2:30. Ail welcome t0 corne. v January is Exarn Montb.- So if your mark is low in some courses, Clarke students, now is the time to pull it up Words: stir things up a bit by wishing you and your joyous $ season .. . bottom lime.
