Hospitals may share surgeon The Port Hope and District Hospital and the Cobourg Hospital may share a new surgeon's service in the near future. Throws out photo radar charges Seventeen motorists wore a happy face last week when the justice of the peace in the Cobourg court threw out their photo radar charges for speeding. It was said the charges were invalid because the victim's surcharge had been rolled into the fine total rather than being listed individually. The Crown prosecutor mntends to appeal the decision. Durham Chief heads special committee Durham Region Police chief Trevor McCagherty has been named chairman of a special committee to oversee introduction of a new police training system in Ontario. McCagherty has been involved in police training for dhe past twenty years. This is the first time that a joint police-citizens committee will play a direct role in advising the provincial government on the future of police training. Once again students and staff from the Newtonville Public School were on the ice at the Orono Arena on Wednesday, March 22 between the hours of 10 and il a.m. It was an hour of fun and exercise for one and all as they skated the laps away to help them raise funds for their new playground equipment.
