Legal costs for the Northumberland Clarington Board of Education was an item of debate at a recent meeting considering Uic 1995 budget. The issue is a recurring use with every new budget. Legal fées for the board during the past year reached $ 158,950 an amount of $40,000 over budget for the year. In recent discussions an amount of $ 160,000 has been set for legal costs during 1996. t has been pointed out that the legal expenditures for Northum- berland Clarington is much higher that boards of similar size in thc area. Boards of similar sizes are spending less than $40,000 in legal fees. The Peterborough County board with 20,000 students spent $10,000 in 1994 and $33,000 in 1993. The Northumberland Clarington Board has an enrolment of 24,000 students. Dick Malowney, director of education, for the local board, has said that comparisons are inaccurate because the local board reports ail legal fees together while others do not. 753 773 1300 lb. rated capacity 1700 lb. rated capacity 40 hp liquid-cooled 1800 lb. with optional diesel engins counterweight kit> 46 hp liquid-cooled diesel engin.ý Fa rmAe r% 853 1700 lb. rated capaclty 58 hp llquld-cooled diesel engins 50 Sertes Features: - Excellent breakout force and quick loader cycle time - Unsurpassed service access - The BOSS «<Bobcat Operation Sensing System) alerts the operator of mechanical mafunctions before they become costly breakdowns - Push-button auxiliary hydraulic controls - 30-plus versatile attachments - Optional hand controls. 7 units in stock for L~ L~ Dmmediate deier FEVERGREENe.
