Orono Horticultural Society Annual Fali Show Resuits The Orono Horticultural Society held its Fali Show at the Orono United Ghurch lasi Thursday. It was a great success wlth 140 entnies. Some of the winners included (1-r) Garol Gay for Best Arrangement in Show; Isabelle Challice for Judge's Choice (other than Decorative) and Minnie Zegers for Best Chrysanthemum in Show. Photo by H. AuL Booker Orono Horticultural Society held their annual Faîl Show !on Thursday evening, September 28th. Shelley our president wel- comed some new members and gave anopening poem. O'Ganada was sung with Doreen Lowery at the piano. Isabelle Ghallice introduced our speaker for the evening Mr. Ken Garmichael who showed some great slides on "Wood Warblers - Butterflies of Bird Land." Our mem- bers really enjoyed the pre- sentation very much. Flora Sharpe thanked the speaker and presented him with a large box of apples. New members are most welcome and Isabelle is offering a prize to the one that brings in the most. Carol Mostert our judge gave a most intecresting run down of the exhibits and suggested that the members use our Judges Manual. The pies were auctloned off, and muffins sold too. Delicious lunch was served by the Gommittee.
