Is syndication soon to fol- low? 9m Let me see, firstly he Iashied out at his own party i . .. . . . . .and the, electorate because he wasn't re-elected. >~Recently, he tore into Rck * ~ "O'Toole" over the coals as he was accustomed to when he was at Queen's Park. Now he's attacking Mike SHarris because of what SHarris ate for supper thirty ~......ears ago. Seven different high schools from across the Northumberland- Clarington School Board were in attendance at the event. The teams were made up of one male and female student from the junior and senior divisions. Most schools had two teams entered in the competition. The -teams competed in four separate events; bridge *building, construction, puz- zle solving, and multiple- choice question round. In the bridge building competi- tion, the teams made a bridge out of nothing but toothpicks and white grue. The bridge had to cover a certain span, and weight- was applied to them. The bridge thiat supported the most weighit was declared the winner. Every bridge supported over 105 pounds: the winning bridge held over 525 pouinds! In the construction area, the teams were fortced to construct a machine out of straws, elastic and tape that would propel a ping pong bail the farthest using only one hand., In the puzzle soi1ving competit 'ion, the teams were to solve the most puzzles in a 15 minute peri- od. The last competition involved 30 multiple choice questions with a minute for each question. The points from each competition were then totaled up. Cobourg West was the big winner, having a team come in first and third in the competîtion. E.N.S.S. from Brighton was the second place finisher. In ail, the students seemed to really enjoy the day and got to put some of the theories they leamed in science class to practical use. Marland, who Gord has dubbed "The Queen of the Ontario Legisiature", gets dumped on big-time for hav- ing some damned chairs re- upholstered. How about a littie cheese to go with your "whine" Gord? He makes mention of the fact that the Conservatives, in creating their "new soci- ety", should be aware that 1one day the worm will turn". Guess what Gord? The worm, already has turned, and that's why you're where you are and the "Harris Army" is calling the shots! You LOST Gord - when are you going to accept that? In the time being, we'll ail wait for your next verbal barrage.
