Rosedale jumped ahead by 3 goals. The Flyers scored the next two to close within one. Gary Chapman scored the first one assisted by Gary Sherban and Jack Vernon. Gary Sherban scored the other one unassisted. Rosedale scored again, but Gary Sherban came right back for the flyers from Terry McKee and Gary Chapman. Rosedale scored three goals to start the 3rd period before Gary Sherban came back with two goals to pull the Flyers within two. Terry McKee had an assist on one of the goals. Rosedale wrapped up the scoring by hitting the empty net. Burger King's Davis has 6 point game The weather on Saturday, at the Orono arena, may have been wet and cloudy but the Burger King Bantams showed up for their 7:30 a.m. game shinning brightly. Just 17 seconds into the game Vince Norton from Steve Foster started Newcastle off in the right direction. Three minutes later a scramble in front of the net allowed the Bowmanville Sand and Gravel team to even things at one. John Armishaw put Burger King ahead 2-1 with an unassisted power play goal. Before the end of the first John was fed a nice pass from Chris David to up the score to 3-1. The first period ended 3-1 for Newcastle thanks to a great glove save, by Jim Conboy, on Sand and Gravel's big #4. Two early goals in the sec- ond completed Vince Norton's hat trick. Chris assisted on both and Neale Borutskie set up the second. A screen shot from the point midway through the second would be the last that would get past Jim. Late in the second and Newcastle exploded for three goals in under three minutes. Jerry Guthrie banged one home from Chris. Steve worked the puck clear to set up John's third while Chris pitched in to assist on John's fourth of the game. The Burger King Bantams scored the lone two goals of the third period. Vince made a great second effort to assist on John's fifth goal of the game and then teamed with Chris to help Steve score a well deserved goal. Second half goalie, Dusty Stapleton, didn't face near the number of shots that his opponent at the other end of the rink did, but when tested he came up with several sure goal saves to preserve the 10- 2 win for the Burger King Bantams. After dropping our season opener the team has played three solid games to post a 3 win 1 loss record. This was the first game where we have had three on ice officials and the results were positive, original infrac- tions, not retaliations, were called. The two linesmen were able to separate minor pushing matches before any- thing became of it. And the referee was able to concen- trate on the whole play. Officials and fans agreed it was a well played game. Hopefully, at this age level, the three official system will be retained as this game was proof positive of its benefit. Ops 5 Orono hoSted a game on Friday, Novefiber 10, 1995 against Port Perry. Orono came out looing a little slow and it was @ wonder they dominated this game looking the way they did. The game was stopped in the second period due to one of the Port Perry players who was injured going into the boards, and had to be taken away by ambulance. We would like to wish the injured player a speedy recovery. Final score Orono 6 - Port Perry 1. Orono then travelled to Manvers Sunday, November 12, 1995 to play their last game of the week, and they ended it on a good standing beating them 3-0. Orono looked good from the get go, and maybe having their coach back brought them some good luck. The team played well passing the puck around and D.J. Boardman finally got some of those nice passes into the net. Goalie Jeff Slemon held them off nicely to hold onto his shut out. Nice going Jeff! Summary: First Period: 5:03 J. Rowe (D.J.
