June 19 A John Deere Farm Tractor worth $17,000 was stolen from a farm on Murphy Road near Regional Road 20. Edvan Realty in Bowmanville was broken into, with thieves making off with petty cash and, two blank cheques. June 20 Dawn's Casual Clothing in Newcastle was the victim of a shoplifter. The culprit made off with three articles of cloth- ing, and used an accornplice to help in the theft. The Carpenter's Union at 116 King St. E. in Bowmanville was entered through a window in the back. Nothing appears to, be taken. Another false fire alarm, this time at Bowmanville Senior Public School. June 21 The Municipal Building in Bowmanville was broken into. Thieves made off with a TV, VCR, and an undisclosed amount of money. Entrance was gained through a west office wtndow. A car was stolen fromn the driveway of an Ochonski Road resident. A neighbour to the Highland Creek Sand and Gravel in Newcastle has apparently cut the -fence between the two properties and has been using the place to drag race~ molorcycles. June 22 An Oshawa resident was in (ustodv tor assaulting anoth- er driver alter an accident between the two. lHe is also chargeci with fleeing the scene alter the assault. A car was stolen from the lot of Neil's Variety on Division St. in Bowmanville. June 23 A Newcastle youth bas been cautioned for shooting off a pellet gun at bis neigh- bour's house. A King St. E. Bowmanville residence was broken into, with thieves making off with some stereo equipment. A female was kicked in the chest and punched in the mouth by an attacker on Church St. in Newcastle.
