Letters to the Editfor People of Ontario we have a problem. Mike Harris has made a decision to cut and cap our doctors viages. We need that decision reversed and we need you! Our doctors, nurses and medical staff need our sup- port. Is cutting and capping our doctors wages the pay- ment they get for the iremen- dous job they do? Doctors have to undergo yéars of trainTing and work extremnely long hours, they deserve aný extra pay they get. A doctor who eamns $250,000 may see $100,000 of thai eaten up in overhead, and haif the remaining money taken by taxes. We are Canada wit Health Car stand up for We hav te in great lets through to us and its our care and our familles care that will suffer from these cuibacks; as is already happening. If you think Mîke Harris will stop here he won't. Next he'll take away our privilege of having a second medical opinion and cut our nurses wages. How far are we the people of Ontario willing to allow ihis to go before its to laie to stop it. Once its gone we won'i get it back! Some want i to happen. Some wish it would hapen. Let's make it happen! I would urge you to start your own petition in your area and send it to your MP; or drop by Dickson Flooring, Hwy #2, Cobourg, Ontario and sign ours. Keep our dociors in Canada. Lets unîte together and stand firm for our doctors and for ourselves. No Cuts, No Caps to our Doctors wages Mike Harris. Keep your promise not to touch Health Care. t.ornaDirkson The Newcastle branch of the Clarington Public Library is pleased to prescrit a sum- mer pre-sehool story time on Thursday August 8th at 7 pm Preschoolers and their par- ents are invited to join the fun.
