Here the float -TMe Quilting Bee" trav- els through the main street of Orono. Have you ever seen a large crowd of kids suddenly loose their minds at once? You obviously have neyer seen Bamnee the dinosaur at the fair. The kids were singing and dancing and jumping up in down, ail in awe of the big purpie dinosaur. My tractor is better than your tractor. Tractor pulls have long been a favourite at agricultural events, and the fair was no exception.- A large crowd of people was- out admiring the restored antique tractors and watding the machines struggle against the weight and wet ground. Sabrina and the Beast. Sabrina holds her littie bunny Beast at the rabbit show held in the livestock buildings on Saturday. Saturday saw. the battle of the bandse the Clarington Concert Band play, and the numerous events found in these pictures. The rain spoiled tbrili seaker's fun however; the Midway was closed down for the night due to the rain. This probably impacted on Sunday's attendance. Huricane Fran arrived in town jusi in time to corne and see the best fair around. Unfortuniately for us she made for a pretty dreary and wet day ai the fair. With the wind and the ramil î was great 10 see how many people showed up 10 be in the parade. Too bad flot that many showed'up to watch lb. ,Evelyn Rozarlo of Orono, Fuel and Lumber has been responsible for the parade for quite a few years now, and was quite pleased with everyone that showed up. She wanted everyone pating. for thank partici- The Kendal Orange Lodge Band donned their rain gear and proudly marched down the streets of Orono during the parade on Saturday. They were one of two bands to take part in thie parade.
