An eventful weekend for St. Saviour's Church On Sunday, May 11 th, Bishop Douglas C. Blackwell presided at the 9:30 Confirmation Service. The confirmation class presented ta the bishop includedi bath teenagers and aduits: Vickl Breech, Elizabeth Dewell, Patrick Dewell, Heather Dodds, Nathan Lang, Wiiamn Lofgren, .Matthew MacDonald, Justin Marshall and Chelsea Watson. The Bishop was also the preacher at the service and a lovely vocal solo was performed by Shelley Molica. Afterwards, the large congregation gath- ered in the parish hall to meet the Blshop, congratulate the newly confirmed and enjoy refreshments and fellowshlp togetheiÈ. Following this, the Advlsory Board had a meeting and lunch with Bishop Blackwell. On Saturday, May loth, the St. Saviour's caterlng Antque-Classie Car Club Show The local Antique and Classic Car Club will be puttlng on a show of twenty vintage vehicles on the, Bowmanville Museum prop- erty, at 37 Silver Street, Bowmanville, on Saturday, May 3lst from 10:00 a.m. ta 3:00 p.m. T his should be a very inter- estlng event for car buifs and enthusiasts. We hope ta make it an annual event that wlll grow in size each year. Also, the Museum will be open for tours and it will be the last opportunity ta seê our General Motors Exhibit. Refreshments will be avail- able. A sold-out gatherlng of almost two hundred celebrated this notable occasion and, as usual, St. Savlour's rose to the occasion wlth a deliclous meal and efficient service. In speaking of Conserva- lion areas as the Ganaraska it wvill be necessary ta formulate a business plan and to negotiate an agreement with the Mnistry for management. He stated that revenue from the forest will be ùsed ta pay off the debt owing to the Ministry and when completed it will be expected that surplus funds will be reinvested in the forest.
