Following the ceremonies whlch were held at Orono Park, the group went to the church for refreshments. Gararaska foresi study by Roy Forrester Professor Marsh and students of Trent.University have been undertaking a study of the Ganaraska Forest over the pa3st months. An interim report was given to the members of the Boards at a recent meeting. The study involves many aspects of the forest including public use, environmental damage, i~possible remedial under- takings and the part it plays Sin the watershed. Professor Marsh and the students have been interviewn those using the forest and making observations of the condition of the forest envronment. It is the intent of the Professor to now meet with the Authority's User Committee and to undertake a survey of interesting parties. Survey forms are to be mailed out to at least 1000 of the Ganaraska Forest members. Professor Marsh has said he would expect a good return from the mailouts. A final report is expected to be presented to the Authority in late August. The report will include recommendations. 21nd Hand Book Sale On Saturday, June 7th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Clarke Museum & Archives will be holding their Giant Second Hand Book Sale. One day only, ram -or shine! Thousands of books to choose from, Novels, history, romance, gardening, art, pho- tography, hobbies, cooking, how-to, and much, much more! Hardbacks are just 25 cents each or five for a loule. Paperbacks are 10 cents each, and magazines are just 1 penny. Also, don't forget to visit the new specialty/collector section for rare treasures. Note: the specialty/collector books are individually priced., Doors open at 10 a.m. (Absolutely no admission before 10 am.) DONATIONS 0F BOOKS FOR THE SALE Donations of books for the sale may be dropped off at the museum Tuesday through Sunday between il a.m. and 3 p.m. Please cali ahead (905) 983-9243 to confirm a drop off timie. Remember the museum is closing to the public on Mondays.
