St. Marks Anglican Church which is celebrating its 175th anniversary is also on the tour. Two of the homes featured on this years tour are Terralta Cottage an eclectic Victorlan- Gothic Revival and The Cone a Picturesque Gothic Revival style both sltuated on Dorset Street. Built in 1859 Teralta Cottage one of Port Hope's Gothic Treasures started out as a modest dwelling with nun's coif dormers brooding over the porch. About 1874 the west gabled section with a new entrance was added and in 1915 the addition of an orrarental tower in the late Italianate manner created a curious hybrid. This hybrid nature is refiected Inside the house as well wth the marbie nmantde and elaborate plaster-- work ta the dining room, the Gothie newel posts and heavy plaster cornice ta the hall and the Victorlan mantle itatme living room.
