This is a romnantie, poignant and humorous new play about a small county tele- phone exchange. As the story unfolds, we witness the life- long relationship between the country doctor and the switch- board operator. This bitter- sweet tale examines the tech- nology that broughit together the community of a small Ontario town yet, at the same tîme also contained the seeds of modernîzation that would pull it apart. 1837: The Farmers' Revoit. The 2.8 m-illion project was awarded to Tarmac Minerais Canada fromn Cobourg. The project inicludes resurfacing an-d frost heave treatment of dhe driving lanes from the south junction of Highway 7A, northerly to the south junction of Highway 7 at Lindsay, a distance of 16.8 kiiometres.. "Resurfacing and frost heave treatmnent of the driving lanes xiii improve safety and the ride for motorists on tIs busy section of Highway 35". said Palladini. "It xiii also extend the useful service life of this key highway link."
