"We agree and are ask- ing rural children and youth to participate right fromn the very beginning of the pro- gramn, We want to tap into the wealth of imagination that exists iii the young minds of rural OntrioiN 1The three-year, $30 million Rural Job Strategy was announced in the 1997 Ontario budget to stimulate job creation, promote invest- ment, develop export growth and increase business com- petitiveness ini rural Ontario. A summier jobs prograin for rural youth is a major coin- ponent of the new program. Entries will be judged in three groups: age 6-9; 10- 13; and 14 -17. One finalist will be chosen frorn eacb age group and a Grand Prize win- ner will be chosen from the three finalists.
