RECYCLE by Phul.Feltham After 13 years of service, the Burger King and Gift Store in Newcastle on the 401 closed it's doors to pave way for a new multiplex restau- rant site opening eariy next year. The employees at Burger King were saddened by tbe clo sure of the building, wbicb is rich in, history. Then Voyager Restaurant, served the community for many years before becomiing Burger King i 1984. The Gift Store was aiso added i 1984. "The place bolds a lot of memories for. many, of us. Unsaid friendsbips you neyer knew you had until you fmnd out it's over. But the new site bas us ail excited at the same timne," stated one Burger King employee., Esso will remain open while construction starts on the new multiplex centre. Customers will have a wide varlety of restaurants to choose from. The restaurants openlng are Wendys, Tim Hortons and Mr. Sub. The new site xiii provide up to 175 jobs during the' summer time.
