Although the squad continues to mniss the scoreboard they are starting to play as a team and work hard on the ice. Orono's 2-0 loss on Saturday was difficuit ta swal- low. t seemed every opportu- nity they had to score--the opposing team took a penalty to get a whistle. However, the Orono team also had itfs share of penalties to make for a very rough game especially going into the third period. There was fine defensive work by Kienan Williams and Kyle Mac Donald making this a fast moving game. Kevin Martin also played an excellent defensive game particularly afier coming back from a hard hit into the boards. Mike Knapp took his defensive skills forward, tried in vain to put one past the opposing goalie. He did have some nice shots! Althoughl this is Andy Robinisoni's First year, som-e of his moves are starting to look familiar to Orono fans. Fabian Rozarîo continues to im prove with each game while Jordan Beacock is definîtely on his feet. Will Lofgren and Pisani contînued moving toward the net. Pisani can be counted on to take the puck down the ice every time he gets a hold of it while Lofgren can always get to the puck first. An excellent Hooper's goalie stopped these two from scoring. ,Once again we look to Darreli Kennedy for his fine goal tending. His efforts keep the scores down! Every mem- ber of this team, Shawn DeJong, Mike Texeira, Josh Shephard, Jeff Dickinson and Kevin Pritchard included-- work hard to put the puck in the net every game. Dufferin Aggregate rise & shine Orono Minor Tykes met Newcastle Friday Nov. 28. The game was a close match wi good tcamwork by bath clubs. Tyler Johansen had his strongest game of Uic sea- son scoring twa nice goals. Kyle, Barr and Garrett Klompmaker assisted on bath. The final score was 3- 2 for Newcastle. Saturday morning, Nov. 29 at 7 a.m., Orono went ta Darlington. The team looked sharp and had many good scoring chances. Brian Knapp scorcd Uic lone goal asslstcd by Jercmny Caruana. MatUiew Puddicombe played goal in bath games. He is steadily improving each wcck. The oUier contributing mcm- bers arc: Jordan MacDonnell, Cary Konopka, Shclby MacDonnell, Lucas Martin, Scott Duquette, Tyler Armstrong, Nancy Burt, Ryan Wood and Daniel Vandcrwec. 1Thanks for the donuts coach!
