In other words just don't vote the party line. Last week I voted against the govemnment on an Access to Informnation Bill. I have also voted against the government's pension reforms, opting not to take a pension, as well as voting against the government on other controversiail bis. I do not have to prove to anyone that I can't think for myseif in Ottawa. On the Hepatitis C issue I've concluded there is a need to support the compensation package as is and a sec- ondary need to maintain fundmng levels in our health care system and not divert those funds into other areas. R.R. 1, Orono LOB 1iMO Whitby mngn missing lite Durliam Kegîonal Po',licvce is asking for the pubilics ci in locating a Whitby m .,an who has been missing since early 1997. Milan Rehor 36 years of age, came to Canada in October 1994 from the Czech Repub lie and resided with his uncle on Pine- Drive in Whitby until December, 1996. On December lst, 1996 he lefi his uncle's home to try and make it on his own, and apparently worked at a local restaurant in downtown Oshawa until early in 1997. He then advised his employer that he' was moving to Toronto to work for a com- puter company. He has flot been seen or heard from since. Mr. Rehor is described as a white male, aged 36 years, 5'9" in height, 176 Ibs. in weight with blonde hair and blue eyes. He has a scar on his dmi, and wears glasses. Anyone with information on this man's whereabouts is asked to caîl Detective Sal Naccarato at the Durham Regional Police Service at (905) 579-1520 ext. 1834. There is flot limiiless funds for healthcare. It's easy for opposition par- ties to chastise the govemn- ment for being heartless. They don't have a responsi- bility for the entire systemn. Don't forget it's the Reform Party that wants to eut gov- emnment spending even faster and create a two-tiered health care system. Do you really think they would stand up for'Hepatitis C victims if they were the gov- ernment? People in Durham didn't send me to Ottawa to make decisions on easy Issues. They want the liard decisions made as well. Sometimes it is liard to stand up for what you think is the correct course. By supporting the compensa- tion package 1 believe IFm doingjust that. -M A S - A S 4 Miles North of Hwy 401.on Hwy 35/115 Hooper's Jewellers ...
