He will be informing counicil of the O.A.A.A.'s decision to construct a new addition to the Orono Arena. The Association has approved the building of two more dressing rooms and a meeting room with the sup- port of Orono and surrounding area., Mr. Bester is asking for support from the municipality witli the administration end of the projeci including the issuance of building permits and the tendering process. The O.A.A.A. is planning to start construction work on the addition in the spring of 1999. Despite liaving a very short bencli, Orono played great hockey while goaltenders Jeff Slemon and Chris Burritt played exceptionally. The hometown boys ended up with a big 6-2 win with Jeff Thompson and Derek Heerscliop each depositing two goals each while Lee Allin and Cliris Field potted one apiece. After consultation witli his specialist, some time off combined witli physio-therapy, Adam is hoping hel] be ready for competition at Divisionals. Markham Label peewees extend winning streak to five The Orono Markham Label peewees have run their win- ning streak to an amazing five games straight with a 7-1 victo- ry over Minden on Sunday. This game marked the debut of Jesse and Tyson Gimblett for the Label squad in which Jesse contributed a pair of goals and an assist while Tyson chipped in vN iti an assist and played steady defense. Kyle Allin, Justin Szymczak and Tanner Milîson each hiad three- point nights Orono. Allin had a goal and two assists; Szymczak with two goals and an assist while Milîson had three assists. Kienan Williams and Matt Ramnes had single markers t0 round ouf the scoring. Paul Richter had fw o assists a nd Kyle Searle had one. Beaverton extended their lead by two (4-2) on the power Play. Third period action saw Orono relentlessly pepper- îng the Beaverton goalie with shots but to no avail as the hosts played out the third hold- ing the lead for a win.
