Game one against home- town St. Alphonsus was a blowout with TRT winning 12- 0. Goalie Tanner Johnston claimed the shutout. Orono goal scorers in this match were: Devin Robinson with two, Matt Dobson with 4, Dustin Armstrong with three and sin- gles by Blain Cox, Josh Dobson and Daniel Hodgson. TRT outshot the opposition 29- 3. The second match--a much better, fast-paced game ended with TRT coming out on top 4- 2 over the 'Back Alley' team from Barrie. Daniel Hodgson was Orono's top scorer with two while Dustin Armstrong and Katie Definney added the other two markers. The 'Back Alley' boys were outshot 23-6 in favour of the TRT club who ran into one red-hot Barrie goaltender. Championship The 'A' final match pitted TRT against Immaculate. The first period was scoreless. Daniel Hodgson netted Orono's first goal at 3:38 ofthe second. TRT came out strong in the third scoring four goals--two from Dustin Armstrong, anoth- er from Hodgson followed by one from Devin Robinson. The 'A' final game ended in a 5-0 shutout for the TRT crew. TRT playmakers earning assists on the tournament were: Devin Robinson (3), Nathan Smith (2), Rob Blaker (2), Dustin Armstrong (3, Jevon Staples (2), Tyler Elson (2), Matt Dobson (2), Daniel Hodgson (2), Blain Cox, Katie Definney, Josh Dobson, and Zachary Flood. League Action Sunday afternoon, TRT flew right back into action with a regular season league game against the 'Thursday Night' team. The only goal of the game came on a third period screened shot from the blue- line by TRT's Josh Dobson unassisted. TRT outshot Bowmanville 15-9. Accessible Design atom reps The Orono Fuel and Lumber midgets had no short- ages of scoring power this weekend as they decisively downed Minden 7-4 in Minden and overpowered Sunderland 8-3 at home on Sunday. The lumber kings trailed host team Minden 2-1 after the first period. But by the end of the second period the game was tied at 4. Strong third peri- od play resulted in Orono scor- ing three unanswered goals to take the game. Top point-getters with two goals and one assist were Ryan Homes, Andrew Reid and Ryan Tresise. Jamie Parry scored one goal and added an assist while Tyler Robinson had two assists. Greg Bester, Greg Shetler and Craig Harness had one assist each. Sunderland at Orono Sunday's game versus Sunderland at home was a high-scoring affair with five different players figuring in on the goals. Orono Fuel and Lumber's Ryan Tresise was the leader this game coming up big with a hat-trick. After just one period play Orono led 5-0 and increased the lead to 7 after two periods. Orono added one in the third while Sunderland finally woke up scoring three for a 8-3 final. Andrew Reid finished the night with two goals and setting up two others while Craig McManus scored one adding two assists. Craig Harness and Greg Bester com- pleted the goal scoring with one apiece and Jamie Parry added two assists on the night. Chris Kay was credited the win in goal for Orono. The team rallied for Coach Knox (who was home sick) by playing a solid game under Coach Mitchell's guidance. Landman scored the second unassisted while Evan Moore potted the third and final Orono goal unassisted. November 8th, proved to be another tight game but this time Orono fell 3-2 the home- town Omemee club. Stephen Hicks scored the first Orono goal from Justin Guillemette. Garrett MacDonald scored the other assisted by Adam Wood and Michael Fuller. They've done it again! Henderson Christmas Trees major tykes are still riding their unbeaten streak of four games in regular season play. Matt Puddicombe put on a goaltending clinic showing the opponents some pretty fancy moves! The defensîve corp-- Brian Knapp, Colin Gilbride, Ryan Wood and Lucas Martin were solid. Tyler Armstrong scored the first Orono goal unassisted from Shelby Macdonnell and Steve Donadel. Macdonnell came right back to score the second unassisted from Tyler Armstrong and Brian Knapp. Scott Duquette, Colin Gilbride, Alanna Picknor, Matt Field, Harley McColl, Tyler Johansen, Gardiner Cole and Jon Devries all played a terrific game to keep the unbeaten- streak alive. Russ Mujor Plumbing blasts Port Hope Redmen The Russ Major Plumbing novices posted two strong wins, a tie, and a loss in their past four encounters. The novices tied their Omemee counterparts 3-3 dur- ing a road trip on Sunday. Orono's first goal was scored by Michael Hicks assisted by Dan McIsaac and Denis Beenen. Lucas Leech found the mark on a pass from Matt Moffat and Mike Whelan to score number two. Dan McIsaac scored the third goal on a pass from Hicks and Jesse Rice. November l4th in exhibi- Aggregates Dufferin Aggregates Minor Tyke's lost a game 3-1 to Tim's Fifth Wheel Friday night The lone goal scorer for the Tykes was Edward Meester. This win gave Alex Campney first shutout of the season. Scoring for Orono was Matt Fuller with Matt Moffat earning the assist. The second goal was scored by Daniel McIsaac unassisted. Andrew Kirkbride finished it off with the third goal with Michael Whelan and Michael Hicks assisting.
