We realize that being hurnan mneans heing imperfect, but flot settiing for that. We should nfot be upset with ourseives for being imper- fect, but rallher strive towards perfection. Tornorrow will always be better. Our closing hyrnn was "When the King Shall Corne Again" and it rnost effectively used the saine imagery as found in the passage from Isaiahi.'The service concluded with the comrnissioning and this comiforting blessing, "May the God who encircles, entwines, enlivens our lives bless us with - through--the hope, peace, joy and love this Advent and always." Corning Commrunîty Events Corne Caroling! Wednesday even ing (December 17) at 6:30 ail those wishing to corne caroling in the village of Kendal meet at the Livingston. These displays are part of a 'pARlnrtership Curriculum Connection' initia- tive between the Visual Arts Centre and local schools. The eight rinkboards depict aspects of Clarington. This particular project was sponsôred by the Lions Club of Bowmianville. Following the unveiling of the rinkboard displays, M.C. Joe Tilley, sports anchor f'or CFTO News @ 11:30 p.m., introduced Mr. Don Gilhooly and his grandson Ben McCaffery who made the offi- ciai face-off. The mnayor then asked ail the stage guests forward for the ribbon cutting. The Bowmanville Figure Skating Club and The Clarington Speed Skating Club showcased their talents, which was followed by an officiai reception in the banquet hall. Kendal Uniiited ChUr-Ch.
