In the bronze medal match, Orono met Merriton. Merriton opened the scoring late in the third, and then Josh Canfield tied the game assisted by Mitch Canfield and Dylan Dennis. Overtime ensued and J. Canfield scored the winner on passes from Chris Haass and Dennis. Goaltender Ben Hinchey was outstanding in net, standing on his head. In the round robin, Orono lost 6-2 to Mitchell, 3-2 to Merriton and 1-0 to Wallaceburg (the eventual tournament champion). Once again, in the 1-0 loss, goaltending kept Orono in the game. Orono's Nick Hogarth was the star of that game impressing the spectators with his saves.
