Wednesday, May 6, 2009 Orono Weekly Times - 5 Shore to Shore - An exhibition by Jane Eccles Jane Eccles will exhibit her acrylic paintings at the Bowmanville Library during the month of May. The exhibition will feature "Susanne, Great Lake Swimmer" and Bowmanville resident. Susanne Robinson is presently training for her swim of Lake Ontario in July. To support the swim a poster of the image has been printed and is selling for $10. Susanne swam Lake Erie in record time in 2007 and swims and is coached out of the Clarington Swim Club. The work is part of Eccles' "icon" series of women who have succeeded The complete body of work will be shown at the Station Gallery in 2011. The other paintings in this exhibition will explore the female figure and the Canadian Lake system inspired by the navy lakes of the Kawarthas.
