Horse drawn wagon rides, crafts, tours of the Ganaraska Forest, music, face painting, food and refreshments are all part of the annual Ganaraska Forest Open House & Members' Day - in partnership with Cameco Corporation. This year marks a special occasion as the new Ganaraska Forest Centre opens its doors in September and the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority welcomes the public to tour the new facility during this event on Saturday, October 3rd 2009. The fun filled day begins at 12:00 p.m. and runs until 3:00 p.m. and is full of activities for people of all ages. Join us, rain or shine, for this free event and bring your family and friends out to take the opportunity to find out about the recreational activities the forest provides, and the outdoor education programs and special events that take place at the centre all year round.
