Wednesday, October 7, 2009 Orono Weekly Times - 5 Artspace on the Mezzanine October is women's history month Throughout October, a joint exhibition by Helen Bajorek MacDonald and Jean-Michel Komarnicki, In Search of Shoes... and other her-stories, is featured at "Artspace on the Mezzanine" at the Bowmanville branch of the Clarington Public Library. Recognizing October as Women's History month, In Search of Shoes... and other her-stories, is a series of poems and images that explore and document some of the many ways in which women live their lives. Komarnicki selected images that responded to the poetry of Bajorek-MacDonald who has also included three images of her own. The exhibition runs from October 1 to October 31. Bajorek MacDonald is an educator, writer, and editor whose work has been published in books, journals, magazines and newspapers.
