The two teams from The Pines both went undefeated in round-robin action and ended up playing each other for the championship. Mr. Addison's Grey team emerged victorious, but all players certainly should be commended for great play and a memorable day. Congratulations to all! MOSPORT Continued from page 6 tle. It allowed Terry Betts in the #86 Pingle's Farm Monte Carlo to have an easy drive to the win over John Baker Jr. (#23 Freeman Motorsports Ford) and Amanda Connolly's #16 Love's Tire Sales Chevrolet. If there is one lesson to be learned by Mosport's Late Model competitors, it is that one should never upset Dwight Brown. Lining up for the 20 lap feature on the inside of Row Three, Brown went into full attack mode, pursuing the pole sitting #29 Darryl's Auto Impala of Bryan Sudsbury. Running three wide into Turn One on the second lap, Brown split through the #12 WIX Filters/ CRC Canada Monte Carlo and the #66 Roy Nichols Motors Chevrolet of Jim Rossiter. In the scramble, Scott Harrison in his selfsponsored #68 Monte Carlo also survived, emerging in third place overall. Running `Clean and Green' to the checkered flag, the lead trio ran out the laps in order, Brown taking the checkers by eight car lengths over Rossiter. "We played a bit of bumper cars with the #29 (Sudsbury) car in the second heat," said Brown after the race. "I don't know what that was all about. I didn't want to give him another chance to do that again." On lap nine, Connolly, in her finally up-to-speed #16 Chevy moved past Sudsbury to claim fourth place. Although she was gaining time on the leaders, she fell three car lengths shy of the podium. Shannon Kimmerly (#01S Dom's Auto Parts Impala SS) rounded out the top five finishers. The CRS Ontario Legends presented by Daymak of Ajax Defending series champion Adam Cuthbertson swept all three race wins in the Legend's first appearance this year at the Mosport oval. Last Saturday night however, although a constant factor, Cuthbertson would not be able to work his way into the Winner's Circle. Three-time Mosport Speedway Street Stock champion Andy Warbutton dominated the pair of eight lap heat dashes, claiming victories over Cuthbertson in Race One, and 17 yearold Johnny Whalen in the second sprint. Thirteen of the quick and nimble 1200cc Legends cars lined up on the grid for their 20 lap feature with Whalen leading the pack to the green flag. Whalen immediately grabbed the point over Cuthbertson (#79), Tim Fernandes (#77) and the #24 of Warbutton, with the front foursome quickly opening a gap over the #4 of Bill Mason. Sliding high in Turn Two on lap four, Whalen was freight-trained by Cuthbertson and Fernandes, dropping the Beeton (ON) driver to third place. On lap 10, Whalen retired his #36 with a broken panhard bar. At the same time, Fernandes ducked low as the leaders entered Turn Three, wrestling the point away from the defending series champion. Artfully dodging lapped traffic, Fernandes carried on for a three car length margin of victory over Cuthbertson. "Me and Adam always have fun racing together," laughed Fernandes. "I'm glad I finally beat him this year."
