Durham Region wows Queen's Park Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs) discovered all Durham Region has to offer at Durham Day at Queen's Park on Sept. 27. MPPs had the opportunity to learn about Durham during the legislative assembly's lunch recess. Agriculture, education, energy, innovation, manufacturing and tourism in Durham were showcased through displays, videos, presentations and a savoury Durham-grown lunch. Representatives from Durham College, Trent University and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) showcased the first-class post-secondary education available in Durham Region, while artist/inventor Bill Lishman and scientist Wayne Conrad demonstrated why some of the world's most talented entrepreneurs call Durham home.
