6 - Orono Weekly Times Wednesday, September 29, 2010 SLOGAN Continued from page 5 great pride in the community and organizers said it was a pleasure to read the responses and the additional comments from people about life in Newcastle. A shortlist of the best of each theme was decided on and distributed to all BIA and Chamber members to vote on. The slogan/tagline voted as the number one choice is: "Newcastle More than our History". The contest winner was to receive shopping dollars to use in Newcastle businesses but the individual who submitted this entry chose to do so anonymously. For this reason, the BIA and Chamber of Commerce have decided to donate $100 to the Clarington Food Bank (located in Newcastle). Newcastle's BIA and Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all who took the time to submit their creative entries.
