With one more period to play, both teams came on hard. Ops was able to tie the game up with another goal, making the score 2-2. But Orono fought back, scoring another goal. It wasn't long after that, that Ops scored again, making the score 3-3, taking the lead away from Orono. With less then a minute left in the third, Ops scored again making the final score 4-3 for Ops and a disappointing loss for Orono. Orono goals were scored by Ryan Bain (2), and Chris Kuijpers, with assists going to Mitch Canfield, Chris Kuijpers, Tyler Meijer, and Pierce Warwick. The Orono Midgets' second game was their usual Sunday home game, where the boys took on Sunderland. With the first period underway it seemed like the Orono boys just couldn't pull it together, which resulted in Sunderland scoring 2 goals on the boys, making the score 2-0 going into the second. As the second period started, Sunderland continued their reign by scoring another 2 goals on Orono. With the score 4-0, the Orono boys only had 15 minutes to get some shots on net. Although Sunderland scored another goal on Orono in the third, Orono was able to get some kind of fight in them by scoring their first goal on Sunderland, making the final score 5-1 for Sunderland. Orono's lone goal was scored by Chris Kuijpers, with the assist going to Ian Third. Come on out Sundays and cheer on your local boys. The Orono Midget rep team is sponsored by Two Men and a Truck.
