Wednesday, December 15, 2010 Orono Weekly Times - 5 No-Shave change by Maggie Savage During the month of November, Clarke High School students and staff particpated in No-Shave November. From the beginning of November onwards, male and female staff and students wore fake or real moustaches for "Movember". "Movember" is where "mo bros" and "mo sistas" grow and wear their moustaches for the duration of the month, to raise awareness for prostate cancer. All "Movember," Clarke volunteers used their lunch breaks to ask for donations while wearing their moustaches, as well as announcing everyday who made sizeable donations. for On Wednesday, December 1st, Clarke High School announced that it had raised a grand total of $551.76. Special recognition goes out to staff member Colette Trudeau for starting "Movember" two years ago at Clarke.
