"I'm not really sure what the issues in the by-election are going to be, the biggest issues I've seen come up in the last couple of years, is supply-management." Forbes said. He admits that, "the upcoming election will also be driven by economics, and the government's approval rating, but at the end of the day local issues will mostly drive this by-election." According to the Federal Elections Act, the Prime Minister has six months after the chair is vacated to call a by-election.
